I've been in limbo these days. But I found a new way to vent all my frustration. It's called badminton. Every afternoon, Tchako, Nikkoli, Miggy, and I go to the badminton court and play until night.
There's one bad part, though. I suck at it.
Ah, well. That's an idea for another post. Maybe tomorrow.
So, about superheroes. They are fictional characters that have amazing unnatural powers. Here's some of my favourites:
My ultimate favourite ever since I was a kid, Spiderman!! He looks better in the black suit, though.
Ghost Rider, the scariest superhero ever!! "Your soul has been stained by the blood of the innocent. Feel their pain...."
Iron Man! Brandon's favourite superhero, because, as he said, he's the only Marvel Super without real powers!
and Doctor Strange, my fifth favourite sorcerer, behind (in order of rank from highest) Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, Gandalf, and Eragon
I was watching "Who wants to be a Superhero?" on Jack TV yesterday, so I got inspired. Stan Lee, the famous narrator of Marvel Comics, is the host.
Hmmm.....
Superheroes. They are, according to Wikipedia, fictional characters "of unprecedented physical prowess dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest." The first popular supers were Superman (obviously, because that's where the term superhero may have originated) and Batman from DC Comics. Then Marvel introduced us to other supers, like Spiderman, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor. There are also superhero groups, like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers, and the Justice League.
Now, my favourite question regarding superheroes: If I were a superhero, what would my name be and what powers would I want to have?
Well, my superhero name is Mage Arcane. I can control the elements of fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning, and I have psychic powers, like telekinesis, mind reading, and invisibility. My real name is, obviously, Rowan Zurich. I'm a foreign exchange student from Philippines, and was transferred to A.C.C.R.O. (it's a school I invented for the purpose of my novel. I won't reveal what the acronym stands for yet). Then one day, a meteor crashed in the school gym while I was in there with my bestfriend, Kyle. The meteor was supposed to have killed us, but we survived. We were hospitalized, and when we woke up, we discovered our powers. I was totally excited about it, but Kyle wasn't. he thought it was a sickness, and cursed the meteor for giving that ailment to him. One day, when we were walking by a bank, it got robbed by masked men. I realized that my powers were meant to save people, so I caught the culprits and put them in jail. Kyle, however, swore that it was his destiny to cure his sickness, and he got to the point where he thought he needed to exploit the sciences to find a cure. He then aspired to rule the world, for only then would the cure come to him: if the world doesn't move without his knowledge. So, he declared himself a villain, and gave himself the name Destructo Mage. I, however, got my Superhero name from my mentor, Dr. Stephen Strange. He taught me how to manipulate my powers to save mankind from evil.
This is all fictional, eh.
Well, whether supers are true or not, we all are, in one way or another. Maybe you've done something noble. That's technically what superheroing is all about.
Anyways, my creativity has drained again, so I'm off to watch Kyle XY on Youtube.
